OUR UNITY BLAZE IS MAGICAL!
Imagine a world without a campfire. What would that be like?
Why don’t they know and understand the pleasure, friendship, shared stories, and intense warmth of a campfire blaze?
Many folks, specifically Black folks, have generational fears of camping, the woods, and the outdoors. This comes from the fact that the woods were an unsafe place for many Black folks for hundreds of years in America. This place of beauty and joy for most people, was known for fear and danger by many Black folks.
Now, Imagine being afraid of the woods and nature.
Many Black folks are and will continue to feel this way UNTIL they have a positive experience that changes their thoughts.
When Black folks (and ALL folks) feel Invited and Welcomed around the campfire, that’s when things will change.
That’s the power of The Unity Blaze! The Unity Blaze will UNITE folks … their race, age or gender does not matter.
THE HEART OF THE MATTER
We are committed to sharing the message of the Unity Blaze, in order to build a legacy for our future, and the future of our parks and outdoor spaces depends on it. We believe the more folks who are introduced to the outdoor lifestyle and industry, the more folks will take care of the outdoors, and preserve it for our children’s, children’s, children!
Imagine a campfire, warm and inviting, flickering in the low light of dusk. Surrounding that campfire are faces – dark and light, young and old, people of different races, genders, all there together, talking, eating, sharing stories, laughing – Someone calls you to join them around the fire and welcomes you, wrapping a warm blanket around your shoulders and offering you tasty foods and soothing drinks.
It’s a place where everyone feels invited and welcomed. That is the campfire of our future if we choose to come together and share in the glow of the Unity Blaze. Our lineage comes through the campfire- it calls to all of us and says…
“You are Invited and Welcomed.”
MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS
These beliefs are embodied in our Unity Blaze, so wear it proudly, display it on your gear, at your home, on your vehicle, and wherever you may travel.
The Unity Blaze shows everyone that you welcome them and accept them regardless of their race, age or gender. It tells everyone they are invited and welcomed around your campfire, literally and figuratively!
